LATEST NEWS RELEASES for Overton County

The 2015 Blue Ribbon Ceremony was held Thursday, April 16 in the Oakley Public Library. The event is presented to celebrate children and make everyone aware of child abuse & neglect and promote a community effort to  prevent harm to our children.  County Mayor Ben Danner graciously served as Master of Ceremony.  The Livingston Head Start classes lead the Pledge of Allegiance and sang songs for the audience.  The Dance Studio's Pre-Ballet  and Pointe I classes performed.  The event was sponsored by the Overton County UCHRA/CASA program, L.B.J.& C. Head Start, Livingston Academy Interact Club,  American Bank & Trust and the staff of  the Millard Oakley Public Library.
